Dugong in Coron, Palawan

The dugong is a species of sea cow commonly found across the warm latitudes of the Indian and Western Pacific Oceans. As herbivores, they live where there are sea grass beds to graze on.
Sea grass in the resort’s house reef disappeared due to strong currents brought by typhoon. This forced the resident dugong to move in search of a new habitat.
