how to prepare for travelling in the new normal

As travel restrictions start to ease, it’s important that we remain guided and cautious. All of us are expected to now live in the so-called “new normal,” while there is still no cure and vaccine for COVID-19. Being in quarantine for months, many are already itching to travel. Here’s what to expect when travel resumes:

1. Don’t miss out on amazing room deals

One of things we can look forward to is scoring discounted rates from resorts and hotels when they reopen.

If a beach escape has been on your mind, Club Paradise Palawan designed a gift voucher that will give you the flexibility to book when you’re ready—open-dated three days, two nights stay which you can pay when you can, plus resort credits of Php 6,000 that you can spend however you want, when you stay minimum of two nights. You can even rebook at least 2 days prior to your arrival, if you decide to change your dates. Don’t miss out on the perks of planning early..

2. Online reviews will help

Read up on other people’s experiences during their stays before you think about booking. This should help give you a better look on how resorts and hotels have been handling the COVID-19 situation. Here are some of the hotel review sites you might want to check:

TripAdvisor
Google
trivago
Booking.com

3. Guidelines from World Health Organization (WHO)

Protect yourself and other from the coronavirus (COVID-19)
• Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or alcohol-based rub
• Maintain social distancing (minimum 1 metre)
• Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
• Practice respiratory hygiene
• If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early
• Stay informed, follow advice from your healthcare provider

You can expect majority of travelers to be practicing these important guidelines from the World Health Organization. Other simple precautions such as wearing a mask or face shield when around other people and frequently sanitizing of hands, are part of the new normal as well. These can help reduce our chances of being infected.

You may learn more safety protocols here.

4. Enhanced health and safety protocols will be implemented in airlines and lodgings

Before establishments can start operating again, they should meet newly implemented standard protocols by the government. For Club Paradise Palawan, in order to deliver its promise of providing travellers a safe and beautiful haven whenever they visit Coron, more rigid cleanliness and sanitation measures have been incorporated in all areas of operations. You may know more the resort’s Home Safe program here.
